Katy Perry has set up Facebook and Twitter accounts for her geeky alter ego Kathy Beth Terry. The pop star has posted videos to the sites as Kathy Beth - a braces-wearing down-on-her-luck schoolgirl. The 26-year-old singer will also feature Kathy Beth Terry in the upcoming music video for her next single, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). Thousands of Facebook users have 'liked' her page, which displays a list of the 13-year-old student's interests including the solar system, science fairs, Sudoku puzzles and Hanson.

Katy Perry denies 'silly' tour demand rumours

Pop star Katy Perry has denied reports that she makes 'unreasonable' tour demands. The Last Friday Night singer has hit back at rumours that suggested that to ensure her happiness on tour, drivers must not speak to her and there must be no carnations in her flower arrangements. Perry, 26, told USA Today: "The whole driver thing, I have no idea where that came from. "My response was, 'Just change it. Make it not so silly!'" She added: "My sister handles flowers and VIP stuff. Maybe she has a beef with carnations, but I don't think so. Anyone who knows me knows I'm easygoing. I'm just an entertainer. I'm not asking for the sun to shine at night."

Jessie J joins Katy Perry's California Dreams tour

Pop star Jessie J has been confirmed as the opening act on the last leg of Katy Perry's California Dreams tour in the US. The 23-year-old British singer is to open all shows for Katy Perry, 26, in November. The news was confirmed yesterday on Perry's official website as five more US dates were added to the tour. Jessie later tweeted: "Find all the dates here!!!! Im so excited @katyperry thank you for having me."

Pop star Katy Perry has revealed that she always says a prayer before she goes onstage. The Firework singer, who is currently on her California Dreams world tour, says she prepares for gigs by saying a prayer with her crew. She told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "I have this little box of prayers, but they're very small, simple one-line prayers, and I pull them out and read them out loud. "Everybody either agrees or disagrees with them, and then we just put our hands in a pile and dedicate the show to something funny or stupid." The 26-year-old star, who is married to British comedian Russell Brand, added: "When we were in Nottingham, we dedicated the show to Robin Hood."

Katy Perry: 'I feel like a toddler when I stop touring'

Katy Perry has revealed that she feels like 'a toddler' when her tours end because it is up to her to feed herself once more. The 26-year-old singer, who is currently traveling the globe with her California Dreams tour, said that when she is on the road, her manager makes all the decisions when it comes to when and what she eats and how she lives. Being interviewed by tour mate Robyn for Entertainment Weekly, she explained, "You get so used to having transportation or a hotel room, and it becomes, 'Do I eat food now? How do I get to the movie theatre?' I'm a toddler." Robyn added, "When you're on the road, the tour manager tells you when to eat and where to go and how long you have to wait for something. "When I'm left at the airport to go home, everything stops functioning for me."
